If you’ve spent any time on a Sidel line, you know the drill. Heat consistency is everything. If your lamps aren’t hitting the mark, your PET preforms aren’t hitting the mark, and suddenly you’re dealing with a mess of rejected bottles. We get it. That’s why we make replacement lamps that actually fit. Whether you’re running the old-school SBO units or the newer Matrix series, these are designed to slide right in without a fight. Getting the heat just right Here’s the thing about PET: it’s picky. You need to hit that exact glass transition temperature. Too low, and the bottle won’t form. Too high, and you’re burning the outer wall. We’ve dialed in the wattage and length specifically for SMF ovens. For those of you running high-speed cycles, we’ve got high-wattage tubes that provide the punch you need. Just a heads-up: check your power supplies and transformers first. If you try to push a high-wattage lamp through wiring that’s too small, you’re just asking for a burnout. Built to take a beating Industrial ovens are brutal. The constant heating and cooling can snap cheap glass. We use heavy-wall quartz because it handles that thermal shock way better. Depending on which machine you’ve got, we use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. No weird adapters. No hacking into your sockets. Just plug and play. Plus, we added a special coating to the quartz. Instead of wasting energy heating up the oven frame, the infrared light is pushed directly into the PET. It’s just a smarter way to use your power. We obsess over the measurements—down to the millimeter. Why? Because a lamp that rattles in its holder is a lamp that’s going to fail the second the machine starts vibrating. One last tip: while the lamps are a perfect match on paper, your actual heat output depends on your mirrors. If your reflectors are dusty or charred, you’re losing money.
