The Nitty-Gritty
We packed serious heat into a small package. The 400V supply keeps the current steady, and the 2500W rating gives you the muscle to hit target temperatures quickly. The 300mm length lines up perfectly with the heating zone, so you get even coverage across the preform wall without overheating the neck. On a HyPET system, that means predictable melt profiles and bottle quality you can count on, even when you’re running flat out.
What’s Inside
Inside, you’ll find a shortwave halogen element in a quartz tube. It’s there because it responds fast and gives you tight control over the heat. The coating helps smooth out the infrared output, so you get fewer hot spots and the preform surface stays protected. The R7s connector is solid and holds up against machine vibration, and the SK15 base locks in for a clean, drop-in fit. Wire it up once, and it stays put. No fuss.
On the Line
When you’re running a Husky HyPET, this setup gives you deep, even heating. The material softens consistently, which makes the stretch and orientation process smoother. The lamp comes up to temperature almost instantly, recovers fast between cycles, and just keeps humming through long runs. One thing to keep in mind: that 2500W power is serious. You need a properly sized cooling path around the lamp zone. Stick to the spec for airflow and heat sinking, or you might end up with overheating in nearby parts. But for the engineers on the floor?
