Getting the Hardware Right

It lets the IR light pass through easily and can handle the stress of going from cold to scorching hot over and over again without cracking. One quick tip:**Check your voltage and wattage.**Make sure they match your original equipment exactly. If they don’t, you’ll either end up with a lukewarm cabinet or a burnt-out filament.
A Few Things to Watch Out For
Now, this kind of concentrated heat is powerful, but you have to treat it with a bit of respect. Because the energy is so focused, you can get “hot spots” if your reflectors are dirty or crooked. This is where the upkeep comes in. Keep those quartz tubes clean. If flour or grease builds up on the glass, the lamp starts absorbing its own heat instead of sending it outward. That’s a fast track to a broken tube. Also, just make sure your cabinet’s vents are clear. When the heat spikes that quickly, you want the air moving so your interior panels don’t warp.
