If there are babies or toddlers around, the heat isn’t the problem—it’s the light. Standard infrared lamps can be blinding. That harsh, white glare is just too much for sensitive eyes.
Dealing with the Glare

An IP65 rating basically means the unit can handle dust and water jets without breaking a sweat. We make that happen with high-temp silicone gaskets and tempered glass. The glass is the tricky part. If it’s too thick, the infrared waves just bounce off it and the room stays cold. Too thin, and the glass cracks the moment it gets hot. It’s a delicate balance.
A Few Tips for Installation
If you’re the one wiring these in, keep an eye on your circuit. These lamps pull a massive amount of current the second they ignite. If your breakers are set too tight, you’re going to be tripping the power every single time the heater kicks on. Also, do yourself a favor and use heat-resistant wiring for the internal connections. You don’t want your insulation melting away after a few months of use.
