We use short-wave infrared (IR) tech. Instead of fighting with the air, it sends heat straight to your skin and the surfaces around you. It’s like stepping into a beam of sunlight. You flip the switch, and you feel it. Immediately. Getting that “instant spring” feeling To make this work, we use high-wattage quartz elements. These things hit their peak temperature in a fraction of a second. But the real magic happens when you hook them up to your smart home. By using a Zigbee or Wi-Fi relay, you get rid of the walk to the wall switch. You can trigger the heat from your phone or a motion sensor before you even step foot in the room. By the time you’re in, it’s already warm. The nitty-gritty of the setup Connecting to a smart hub is great, but it’s not just about having a remote button. It’s about how the power is handled. Here’s the thing: IR heaters pull a lot of power the second they kick on. If your wiring isn’t beefy enough or your breaker is too small, you’re going to have a bad time. To keep things stable, we use current sensors to keep an eye on the load. And if you’ve got a few units running in one area? We stagger the start times so you don’t trip the breaker. A couple of honest trade-offs Radiant heat is fast, but it’s directional. If you step out of the beam, you’ll feel the chill again. We usually fix this by installing the heaters in an overhead grid, so you’re covered no matter where you stand. Also, cheap relays tend to burn out because of how often they switch on and off. We don’t use those. We stick with high-cycle Solid State Relays (SSRs) so the contacts don’t weld shut. It’s a simple setup for a simple goal: get the heat exactly where you need it, right when you need it, without wasting energy on the rest of the house.
