So, we rebuilt our radiant series to actually survive the environment they’re put in. The battle against fog Here’s the thing about industrial plants: the temperature difference between the floor and the ceiling is huge. That creates condensation. On a normal heater, water droplets form a film over the reflector, which scatters the heat. You end up losing a chunk of your warmth because the infrared rays can’t get through. To fix this, we added a specialized anti-fog coating to the reflective surfaces. It keeps the path clear. No beads of water, no scattered heat—just a steady stream of warmth hitting the floor where it’s actually needed. Keeping the water out Water and heating elements are a terrible mix. One bad splash and the whole unit is toast. We beefed up the seals and gaskets to make these units truly splash-proof. It stops that nasty “arc-over” that happens when moisture bridges the gap between high-voltage contacts. The catch Now, there is a trade-off. All this extra protection adds some weight. These aren’t lightweight toys you can just hang from a thin piece of sheet metal. You’ll need to make sure your ceiling supports can handle the extra mass of the reinforced housing. But in exchange? You get hardware that doesn’t quit. By blocking out the moisture and the fog, we kill the corrosion before it even starts. It’s a heater that can take a beating in a damp shop and just keep humming along.
